Some special equipments require the filters work under a certain high temperature and still keep the same spectrum features, especially the high transmission of the centre wavelength. Usually, the transmission curve of optical coatings will drift 3-5nm to the left while temperature rises to 70¡æ or above, to narrow bandpass filter, it will cause the low transmission of the expected wavelength point.
